Baby Stella

Leah (the cousin I am closest to) had her baby girl over a week ago. I am so excited for her and her husband. Being a parent is the best feeling! (well, that's based on my experience. ;)  They're going to LOVE it! Anyways, Baby Stella is such an adorable baby girl. Makes me wanna have another one. ;) I know she will rock the tutu I made her. And hopefully her and Arianna will meet soon.

Baby gifts for Baby Sadie

A really good friend of mine is having a baby girl and I am so excited for her. I crocheted a hat, booties and a headband for Baby Sadie. I also made a tutu and a handmade card! Yay for babies!

To my wonderful mother in-law

Happy Birthday!!!

I am so grateful that Alice is my mother in-law. She is awesome and I love how straightforward of a person she is. I think she got it from her Italian or Hungarian blood in their family. ;) And she makes the BEST POTATO SALAD in the WORLD! just saying. ;)

We love you Mom! Happy Birthday!

Smiley Faces

I really wanted to brighten someone's day and I really wanted them to know that if they ever need help, I am always here. Sometimes, we need to let someone know that you care and love them. :)

So yeah, I decided to make some fondant to use on my cupcakes. Well, it was my very first fondant and it was hard kneading it but I had fun making it and the cupcakes. I also made 2 the same cards but my personal messages inside were different from each other. I love putting personal messages on the cards I make.

" A friend is someone who makes it easy"

and the smiley cupcakes. They're chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting and smiley faces fondants. :)

Love, peace and happiness to you all!

A simple Lego Birthday Card

Last month, a friend of mine, threw a Lego birthday party for her son. I decided to make him a Lego card and wrapped our gift like a Lego.

Crocheting #2

When my husband was on deployment, I made little projects every week and one of them was crocheting. This time, I wanted to take it to the next level. (Lol) I tried my best to crochet a headband, booties and a beanie/hat.

I am so glad that my friend Emily liked them. She's about to have her baby girl anytime soon! So exciting!

I also gave her a card. I made this card a long time ago when my friend Angel introduced me to craftiness. =)

Yay for babies!

Deployment Project Week # 5

Crochet

What is a crochet?

Crochet (pronounced /kroʊˈʃeɪ/) is a process of creating fabric from yarn using a crochet hook. The word is derived from the French word "crochet", meaning hook. Crocheting, similar to knitting, consists of pulling loops of yarn through other loops. Crochet differs from knitting in that only one loop is active at one time (the sole exception being Tunisian crochet), and that a crochet hook is used instead of knitting needles.

I totally copied and pasted it from wikipedia. haha! It makes my life easier.

I really enjoyed crocheting. I learned about different yarns, sizes of hooks and different kinds of crochet(from double crochet to treble crochet to fastening). I crocheted some flowers and butterflies. I crocheted one heart but I think it wasn't great. I got the patterns here.

I love the butterflies!
